Mikhail Georgievich Kozell ((ロシア語:Михаи́л Гео́ргиевич Ко́зелл); October 20, 1911, Astrakhan, Russian Empire – July 26, 1993, Saint Petersburg, Russia) - Soviet Russian painter and Art teacher, lived and worked in Leningrad, regarded as one of representatives of the Leningrad school of painting,〔''Sergei V. In 1939 Mikhail Kozell graduated from Ilya Repin Institute in Isaak Brodsky workshop. Pupil of Mikhail Bernshtein, Arcady Rylov, Alexander Lubimov, Vladimir Serov. Since 1949 Mikhail Kozell participated in Art Exhibitions. Painted landscapes, genre pictures, sketchs from the life. Personal Exhibition in Leningrad (1991). Mikhail Kozell was a member of Saint Petersburg Union of Artists since 1962. In 1948-1991 Mikhail Kozell worked as Art teacher of Secondary Art School of Ilya Repin Institute in Leningrad. Mikhail Georgievich Kozell died on July 26, 1993, in Saint Petersburg at the eighty-second year of life.
